For each single truffle we suggest an "ad hoc" weight to be used for each course. For the Black Summer Truffle we recommend 10g of fresh product per serving.
WAY OF USE
The Black Summer Truffle is one of the most used and versatile fresh truffles in the kitchen: it can be used ground to season croutons, on pasta dishes or to accompany meats.
SHIPPING: WHICH TRUFFLES DO I RECEIVE AND HOW DO I RECEIVE THEM?
Each truffle has different shapes and organoleptic characteristics. For this reason the images are purely indicative. Your order will consist of irregularly shaped truffles, in some cases with small imperfections on the outside, characteristic and singular features of each piece. The weight of each truffle can vary from 15g up to 100g according to the type / quantity of truffle chosen. Your shipment will consist of several truffles of various weights (from 15g to 100g) which will form the desired quantity.
HOW DO I GET IT?
The truffle you have purchased is packaged in our laboratories in Savigno, with the same care as a jewel: it is enclosed in a special box, which in turn is placed in a special package that preserves the humidity and freshness of the truffle. < br> In this way, during the expedition the truffle will be kept in the ideal conditions to keep its properties intact. The fresh truffle will be delivered to you with an express shipment in the shortest possible time.
WHAT SHOULD I DO WHEN I RECEIVE IT?
As soon as you receive the truffle, place it in the refrigerator in a tightly sealed airtight container (see Truffle Conservation). The truffles will be delivered to you washed, however traces of soil may remain. We therefore advise you to wash the amount you are going to use under running water. Let it dry for an hour. Your truffle will be ready to scratch.
For an ideal shipment of this precious product, we suggest you purchase it before 12:00 on Wednesday. This allows us with certainty to deliver the product to you in the correct time and to ensure the freshness of the truffle thanks to the packaging designed to maintain freshness for up to 48 hours. Orders received after 12:00 on Thursday will be shipped the following Monday.
HOW TO STORAGE THE TRUFFLE
We select for you the best truffle according to your needs. Each truffle has a period of maturation, and thanks to our many years of experience we are able to understand the best period to use it on dishes.
Insert in the dedicated field an indicative date in which you will want to taste the fresh product in order to be able to provide you with unique pieces suited to your needs.
To best preserve your truffle you can wrap it in a sheet of absorbent paper, inside an airtight container, and store it in the refrigerator at a temperature of about 4 degrees, up to 10 days from when it was delivered. < br>
The use of rice as a preservation method is inappropriate as the starch quickly deprives the truffle of its mosture.
